FF1664 'Huia' A fibreglass boat built by Bill Shand c.1974. Marine ply deck and bulkheads professionally built in Geelong. Hull, deck and keel plus lifting gear, deck fittings and foam bouyancy weigh 340 kilos verified with a weighbridge certificate. Mast and boom are original as are all fittings and sails (two complete sets, one main almost unused). Two spinnakers of different cut. The boom is centre sheeted with traveller on a thwart. There are no floors. The boat has been sailed for recreation only with occaisional "social races" so has no recent race history. It has not been modified in any way and is a true 'Classic'. FF 2388 Unfortunately it is hull, keel and a rough trailer only. Prior to myself getting the boat, it has been stripped of nearly all fittings. It does require a bit of restoration as well. I have come to the conclusion I won't be able to restore the boat myself with the limited space I have here. The trailer is rough, however still towable (previously the boat was towed 3 hours home without any problems). A lightboard will be supplied to the buyer for towing.
